Takara Thunderbird 2 and pod vehicles

Takara 1:144 Scale Thunderbirds

Here's Takara's amazing collection of Thunderbirds toys - all to the same scale. These toys are almost a dream come true. Many have radio control capability.

The huge Thunderbird 2 has motorized, telescopic legs and stunning interior detail.
See our review.

Corgi FAB 1

Corgi FAB 1

This is a new die-cast model from Corgi. The operating features appear to be the same as those of the 1960's Dinky version - firing missiles and sliding canopy. However, the overall shape is different, most notably the canopy is more rounded at the rear.

As with the Dinky model there are figures of Lady Penelope and Parker inside.

The finish and detailing is far better than on the Dinky model.

Takara R/C Mole

Takara Radio Controlled Mole

Japanese company Takara have produced this excellent R/C Mole. It's eleven and a half inches in length and five inches high. The model is very detailed. The vehicle's tracks can be operated independently and the cradle can be raised and lowered - all by radio control. Additionally, the 'drill' rotates as the cradle is moved up and down.
There is also a 'weathered' version available - see our review.

Hot Wheels Fab 1

Hot Wheels FAB 1

This FAB 1 Rolls Royce is a diecast metal model measuring about 2 inches long.
It's made for the Japanese market.
The packaging is labelled 'Hot Wheels' and 'Charawheels'.
As with most toys these days, it's made in China.
